St Thomas The Martyr Parish Church:
The Graveyard
This ancient and beautiful Christian graveyard is a place where everyone should feel welcome, loved and cherished. It is also a place where those we love but see no longer can be remembered and honoured. It is a holy place where we hope that all those who visit feel close to God and to loved ones buried here.
We are all custodians of this special place where people from this community and area are buried, loved and cherished. So, we ask everyone to continue to work together to make it a place where all can visit and feel welcome.
There is also a Book of Remembrance in church, in which you can arrange to have the name of a loved one added. Please contact Sue or Dennis, our Churchwardens, for further details about how to do this; you can do this via the Contact Us page.

We have produced a leaflet (available by clicking the image to the left) that gives you a lot of information about the Graveyard and its rules. We hope the notes in this leaflet will help you to ensure that your family grave remains a very special place where you will feel close to God and your loved ones.

In order that the churchyard can be maintained to a high degree and continue to be a place of reverence and respect, the Church Council has agreed to ensure that the Diocese of Liverpool Graveyard Regulations are adhered to.
In the meantime, here are some photos of our lovely, peaceful graveyard...
